Where did you grow up?

Lifelong Bellingham resident.

Describe your family:

I have two boys, Brandt 7 and Dylan 9. We enjoy hiking, watching movies, gelato at Sirena's in Fairhaven and just quality time together. Recently we took a hike to Fragrance Lake where my youngest son, Brandt, was complaining the whole way up that his legs felt heavy but once he unloaded his ten pounds of Halloween candy from his pockets he was fine.

What inspired you to go into real estate?

I am the 3rd generation in my family that has been involved in real estate. Both directly and indirectly. My family was heavily involved in construction and development here in Whatcom County since the 1950's. Even as a child, I had a fondness for real estate.  I first got into real estate to market and sell the homes that I was building with my father.

Describe your best day in Bellingham:

I would start the morning out with a black coffee at The Black Drop, grab breakfast at The Old Town Cafe' on the way up to Mt. Baker Ski Area for some skiing. After a wonderful day on the mountain, stop off at the North Fork Brewery for a beer and some pizza.  Take a late afternoon nap, then meet up with friends at Scotty Browns.

What does "LiveWhatcom" mean to you?

Living in a place that people only dream of living, a place found in magazines.  The true Puget Sound NW experience.  Whatcom County is a hub for entrepreneurs and people that choose their own lifestyle.  A place where people live because they want to, not because they have to. When you are working and living in a place where you can be minutes away from your favorite hobby or spectacular vista, there is something very healthy and wonderful about that.  You can't help but thrive in that kind of environment.  That is what Whatcom County is, and that is why I choose to Live Whatcom.
